Lord love a duck. I want a sweet little closet like that, crown moldings and all! I wonder if I could talk my mum into letting my build one on the weird half wall thing in my room at home….. oh the possibilities. :)

In other news, my senior suites office allotted me the same room and apartment for this year. I was worried that Lacey wouldn’t be able to place me in the same room again, and I definitely did not want to move. No worries, all is good. The only thing that’s niggling there in the back of my mind is wondering if I’ve stabbed myself in the foot in terms of my apartment-mate for this year. Don’t get me wrong, we’re friends - and have been since first year - but our lifestyles and studystyles are pretty much on opposite sides of the spectrum. He’s already worried about cooking and shower schedules like the ocd special person that he is (said with all the positive connotations possible). I guess I’m just worried that a) he’ll be weirded out when he realizes just how much time Jeffrey spends over here, and b) that he’ll be as anal retentive about living with me as he was last year - squirreling away certain groceries that are his because he’s afraid I’ll eat them, or just shutting himself in his room and doing homework nonstop, while not telling his roommates if he was bothered about something. Either that or he’ll be like my roommate last year and expect that because we’re roomies that we have to be joined at the hip. oi vey.

This week is pretty much my only week of summer vacation. I still have to work, but my psych class is finally finished - don’t ask what prompted me to take Applied Sports Psychology when I’m an English major. But my next two classes (History of Children’s Literature, and British Literature 1900-1945) don’t start up till July 5th, so I’ve got myself a nice little break to not have to do any reading that isn’t for fun! Hehe though this also means that I get to tunnel through all the used bookstores within walking distance (tons!) and find the assigned books for my reading lists. Sometimes I really do love being an English student, I think one of my favorite hobbies is wandering aimlessly through used bookstores with sky-high stacks smelling of musty pages and binding glue. ah. An afternoon ramble I think is in order.

How are your summers so far?
